Looking for ELT resources online is sort of a hobby of mine, or at least something I enjoy doing anyway. There is a lot out there, but sometimes it's not that useful. Sometimes, however, the resources out there are inspiring and give me strong tools to complement the work being done in the classroom.

http://www.elllo.org - A wonderful collection of authentic audio texts, some with quizzes and transcripts. I particularly enjoy the fact that the recordings reflect English from a diverse group of speakers.

http://moviesegmentstoassessgrammargoals.blogspot.com - This offers tips to create lesson plans to teach grammar using short movie clips. It's brilliant!



WEBSITES AND APPS TO AID LEARNING (mainly to be used by teachers)


http://quizlet.com/ - Create flashcards and classes in which students can make their own flashcards to practice vocabulary and new concepts. Students and teachers can also create quizzes and share them with others.

http://www.eltpics.com - A collaborative effort by teachers in different parts of the world collecting pictures to aid ELT
